The second semester coincided with my first Ramadan away from home, making it a unique period of personal growth and discipline. Maintaining a balanced daily routine became essential, as I attended classes, completed assignments, and observed fasting while participating in Tarawih prayers each evening. Planning study sessions around meals and prayer times taught me time management, patience, and the importance of consistency. I also advised juniors on maintaining a similar routine, which reinforced my own discipline and leadership skills.
During the same period, course quizzes for Calculus, OOP, and Database assessed our understanding and required careful preparation despite the physical and mental demands of fasting. These assessments highlighted the need for strategic planning, focus and self-motivation. Unexpectedly, a global oil crisis led to temporary closures of education departments in Pakistan, resulting in unplanned holidays. Although the disruption posed challenges, the university quickly adapted by transitioning to online learning. Attending classes via Google Meet and Zoom ensured continuity, while completing assignments on time reinforced the importance of self-directed learning.
Balancing academic responsibilities with spiritual observance and adapting to unexpected changes strengthened my resilience and problem-solving skills. The experience taught me that discipline, planning and flexibility are crucial for managing both personal and professional commitments. By the end of this period, I had developed a structured approach to learning and life, which would prove valuable for handling future academic challenges and maintaining productivity under varying circumstances.
